PGI Assess
Know where you stand. Know what requires attention next.
Research can name an issue clearly and still leave a leader wondering how much of it applies to their own organization. Assess closes that distance. It asks structured questions about the way the work actually runs, and returns a profile, a set of priorities and a conversation the leadership team can hold.
PGI QuickCheck · Free
A useful first look at where attention may be required.
Twelve questions, about six minutes. Enough to see a preliminary profile, your strongest area, the one most likely to need attention, and three questions worth raising with your team. Deliberately short of a full assessment — but honest about what it can and cannot tell you.

The Assessments
Three depths, one method.
Each builds on the one before it. The questions, the domains, the profile and the report structure are shared, so a professional assessment and a board pack read as the same instrument at different scales.

Professional Assessment

Organizational Assessment
One leader's view can be useful. An organization's pattern is more revealing.
The same instrument, answered independently by people in different seats — board, executive, HR, operations, governance, technology, programme and frontline leadership. The value is not the average. It is what the spread exposes: assumptions that do not match, ownership nobody has claimed, and gaps only one part of the organization can currently see.

- 40–60 questions each

- About 18 min per person

Discuss the Board PackSignature Capability
The gaps leaders agree on matter. The gaps they do not agree on may matter more.
An average tells you where an organization sits. The spread tells you whether it knows. Where the board, the executive and the people running the work read the same practice differently, that difference is usually the finding worth acting on — and it only appears when more than one person answers.

The word AI in a procurement document should create more questions, not fewer.
A procurement decision can quietly become a governance decision. The Vendor Risk Review works through a proposed system before it becomes an implementation: what the vendor has addressed, what remains unclear, and what the organization would be taking on. PGI does not certify vendors and does not tell you whether to buy.

How Each Matter Is Returned
- Addressed
- The material answers the matter, and the answer holds.
- Partially addressed
- Something is in place; part of the question is still open.
- Unclear
- The material is ambiguous, or two sources disagree.
- Requires attention
- Nothing addresses it, and the organization would carry the consequence.
No safe, no unsafe, no approved, no rejected. Those words imply a certification PGI does not issue and a liability the Institute does not carry.

Recurring Capability
Assessment is not an event unless you decide it is.
A single reading tells you where you are. A second, a year later, tells you whether anything moved. The Institutional Suite is for organizations that want that record kept.

Benchmark. In development.
Comparison is only worth having when the comparison group is real. Benchmark opens when PGI holds enough valid responses, a stable method and peer groups large enough to protect the organizations inside them. Until then there is nothing to show, and nothing invented to fill the gap.
01
Enough valid responses for a comparison to mean anything.
02
A method stable enough that this year and last year are the same question.
03
Peer groups defined on something more defensible than sector alone.
04
Group sizes large enough that no organization is identifiable within them.

What happens next matters more than the score.
Every result names what it points to and says why. Not everything points to more PGI: some findings are for the organization to work out internally, and the report says so.
